Quest for Heroes
Date & Time Format Winner Warlord Field
Thursday - Friday 4E format . . .
Description: Quest for Heroes - GenCon Meta-Event

Time to drop the last pre-GenCon bomb.

We’ll have Sealed and Constructed Tournaments, even an Invitational. On top of all this, there is a MetaEvent: Quest for Heroes.

Participation is voluntary (it costs $20). If you do participate, you get a black Warlord T-Shirt and a character sheet/battle record. For the character sheet you select a character name (your choice, not of an existing Warlord), faction, and class.

On the character sheet you’ll also find a progressive list of quests you’ll have to fulfill. One of these for example is to challenge the evil artificer lurking beneach the Forgotten City (Yes, each participant gets a free constructed challenge vs. Loki). Others will have you answer trivia questions, participate in tournaments, and so on.

The most important one is logging constructed battles for the “God Draw Quest”: Over the entire course of GenCon (you turn in your sheets by noon on Sunday) you will be challenging other participants in the Quest for Heroes event. You can play them anywhere (I’d suggest late in the evening/at night in the hallways, wearing your Warlord T-Shirts and showing other GenCon visitors you are having fun with the game ;-)). As the name “God Draw Quest” implies, you do not only select your starting line-up, you also pick the five cards you want to start with. The match is best-of-one, and you note the result on your character sheet after the game. Of course winning is better than losing and each opponent can only be challenged once.

Back to the character sheet: The quests are grouped into levels. Each quest fulfilled gives you a certain amount of XP and possible other benefits. But in order to access the quests for level two, you first need to accumulate enough XP to raise your characters level!

At the end of the Con we’ll collect the character sheets and find out, who the factions real heroes are. Apart from a badge on the forum you’ll earn gp cards, promo cards, and other goodies. Did I mention eternal fame? Well, as eternal as we can make it.

Most importantly, of course, I want you guys to have fun and explore a bit, what else you can do with Warlord.

See you at GenCon!

Sealed Tournaments
Date & Time Format Winners Warlords Field
Thursday - Friday 4E format sealed . . .
Description: Small Sealed Deck tournaments start continuously as soon as eight people are available (for gold pieces and access to the Sunday Invitational tournament.

15 greenbacks, you draw a random starter (single) out of a talking hat (or whatever we can find) and then go play. You win stuff, too.
